Abstract

All pictures in "Smoke galleries" looks like magic in air. I see here a cause to make non-static images. It may be movie where a photo turns to a drawing (sense emerges in abstract picture) or a drawing turns to a smoke photo (traditional philosophic symbol of depreciated meanings)."

I kept the element of the boy and the balloon, however my interpretation of the picture is that the balloon is about to slip away from the boy's grasp; to be liberated or maybe float aimlessly instead. Eragon (Saphira) - Stoffel De Roover / Lumendipity Eragon (Saphira) - Amy Kann "I have recently been reading the Earth Sea novels by Ursula K. Le Guin, which have very beautiful descriptions of dragons, so was very inspired to do some dragon art. I tried to keep the main lines of the original smoke photograph, but put my own interpretation on it using pen, pencil and gouache paint. My favourite genre to draw is dark fairytale and fantasy.

I used marker pen, fineliner pen, ink and acrylic paint to create this image. I enjoy the contrast between the somewhat serious looking smoke photographs and my quirky and bright interpretation. "

When I looked at it I immediately saw an image of an a tall, model-like woman. As I drew out my interpretation, it took on the look of a fashion illustration with some comic book style elements."
