Festival Mode & Design Montreal is the annual fashion and design festival that takes places downtown Montreal, open for the public, in open air. Often current collections are shown, clothing currently available in stores, as opposed to the Montreal Fashion Week that focuses on new collections by local designers, and is a but less accessible to the public. This year the honorary chair was Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. As part of his urban art performance series, de Castelbajac created a large painting in Complexe les Ailes (see picture below). People could see the artist at work, from up close.
